Its boiling point is at a chilly -33.5ºC, and it can solidify into a snow-like form with its melting point at -77.75ºC. This remarkable compound dissolves readily in water, ethanol, and ether and breaks down into nitrogen and hydrogen when subjected to high temperatures, showcasing its reducing nature. Furthermore, it can be oxidized to form nitric oxide when a catalyst is present. Ammonia's applications are extensive, serving as a precursor in the production of liquid nitrogen, ammonia water, nitric acid, ammonium salts, and amines, among other industrial and chemical processes.
