The boiling point is a chilly -33.5ºC, while it solidifies into a snow-like solid at -77.75ºC. Ammonia boasts excellent solubility in water, ethanol, and ether. It breaks down into nitrogen and hydrogen under high temperatures and demonstrates a reducing effect. When a catalyst is present, it can be oxidized into nitric oxide. Ammonia finds various applications, including the production of liquid nitrogen, ammonia water, nitric acid, ammonium salts, and amines, making it an indispensable compound in multiple industries.
