The boiling point is a chilly -33.5ºC, and it solidifies into a snow-like form with a melting point of -77.75ºC. Remarkably soluble in water, ethanol, and ether, ammonia decomposes into nitrogen and hydrogen at elevated temperatures, showcasing its reducing properties. In the presence of a catalyst, it oxidizes into nitric oxide. Its versatility extends to the production of liquid nitrogen, ammonia water, nitric acid, various ammonium salts, and amines, making it indispensable in numerous applications.
