Under high temperatures, ammonia decomposes into nitrogen and hydrogen, exhibiting a reducing effect. In the presence of a catalyst, it undergoes oxidation to form nitric oxide. This versatile compound plays a pivotal role in the production of liquid nitrogen, ammonia water, nitric acid, ammonium salts, and amines, among others.
