Its remarkable solubility in water, ethanol, and ether makes it indispensable across various applications. At elevated temperatures, it decomposes into nitrogen and hydrogen, showcasing its reducing properties. With the assistance of a catalyst, it is capable of oxidizing into nitric oxide.
