Its solubility in water, ethanol, and ether further enhances its utility. When subjected to high temperatures, ammonia decomposes into nitrogen and hydrogen, showcasing its reducing properties. Additionally, in the presence of a catalyst, it can be oxidized into nitric oxide. This chemical wonder is instrumental in the creation of liquid nitrogen, ammonia water, nitric acid, various ammonium salts, and amines, making it a cornerstone in numerous industrial and chemical applications.
